BMW LOW SEAT DEMO BIKES

BMW Motorrad had good news for riders who either need or prefer a lower seat height, but do not want to compromise on model choice.

BMW is the first motorcycle manufacturer to launch a range of models that can be ordered from the factory with lowered suspension - to provide customers with low seat height options.

Feedback from female, novice & shorter riders confirmed that controlling a machine can be difficult at slow speeds, especially when riding motorcycles with a higher seat height. These riders feel more secure when they're able to place their feet firmly on the ground.

BMW Motorrad was pleased to bring a fleet of six Low Seat bikes to the Show and allow visitors to ride them and get an experience of their low speed manoeuvrability. These models were:

F800 S Sports - low seat height 760mm
F800 ST Sports Tourer - low seat height 760mm
F650 GS Enduro - low seat height 765mm
R1200 R Roadster - low seat height 750mm
R1200 GS Enduro - low seat height 790mm
R1200 RT Tourer - low seat height 750mm

Visitors were given riding tuition by experienced Instructors from BMW Rider Training.
