Superbike Simulator
The Simulator is a pneumatically driven 'bike' that pitches forward when you brake and steers from side to side so you can achieve lean angle and braking forces even though the bike is static. The bodywork on the bike is based on a Yamaha R1
The Simulator replicates the actions a bike would go through when you initiate a steering input to make a line through a corner.
Bikes and riders operate in two very distinct modes, stable or unstable. As we are sure you would agree, an unstable bike is not pleasant whatever you ride! However, If the rider is stable on the bike then the bike regains it's stability easier, sooner and if the rider is stable there is less chance of the bike becoming unstable in the first place.
Because of the design and movement of the Simulator we offered visitors the opportunity to:
Brace yourself on the tank effectively
Position yourself securely when braking
Lock in a stable position when cornering
Moving efficiently as the bike goes from side to side (as in a chicane or roundabout)
Make sure you are loose on the handlebars after the bike has turned
